Our client is a leading international EPC contractor in the offshore oil and gas industry, with a strong technological edge in the design, development, leasing, and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and is recognized as a top provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.

What are you going to do?

To support the project of one of our clients, we are looking for a Purchaser (Buyer) for an assignment with a foreseen duration 1 year.

Department/Goal:
The Contracts & Procurement department is responsible for delivering (sub)contracting and procurement in such a way that services and supplies are obtained at the best conditions regarding quality, delivering time, price and HSE aspects in order to contribute to the realisation of the company’s goals and strategy.

The job:
As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for procuring materials and services in an economically advantageous, timely, cost-effective, and ethical manner. Your responsibilities include:

Purchasing in a sound and ethical manner in accordance with requirements.
Preparing and issuing enquiries to suppliers and verifying that purchase requisitions are complete.
Reviewing and analyzing supplier quotations in conjunction with the project- and/or asset team stakeholders.
Preparing bid evaluations, negotiating pricing, lead times, terms and conditions, and recommending the best commercial options.
Performing desk expediting activities as required.
Preparing and issuing a weekly status report showing the status of all purchase transactions.
Coordinating visits of suppliers to site locations for installation, commissioning, repair, support, and warranty activities.
Preparing supplier performance documentation in conjunction with the Procurement Coordinator and the Section Head, as appropriate.
Reviewing and verifying invoices in a timely and accurate manner in conjunction with the assigned invoice administrator.
Ensuring the final close-out of orders, including the evaluation of suppliers.
Administrate work correctly.
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
Managing conflicts and default situations with Suppliers in close conjunction with project- and/or asset team stakeholders and the Section Head, as appropriate.
Organise and chair pre- and post-award meetings with Suppliers.
Interfacing and alignment with other departments with reference to scope definition, regulatory compliance, documentation, certification, transport & logistics.

Qualifications

Vocational Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Over 2 years of commercial experience within the oil & gas industry.
Solid communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of and experience with using ICC INCOTERMS.
Basic knowledge of and experience with negotiating contractual terms & conditions.
Basic knowledge of and experience with common EU Directives and international standards (ISO).
Basic knowledge of and experience with transport & logistics processes.
Knowledge of MS Office.

Dit pakket is altijd marktconform.
Wanneer een specifieke opdracht kan worden uitgevoerd door een ZZP-er, spreken wij een tarief af voor het zelfstandig uitvoeren van deze opdracht bij onze opdrachtgever. Hiervoor moet zowel de klant, de opdracht als de ZZP-er aan verschillende voorwaarden voldoen.
In een aantal gevallen is onze klant op zoek naar een kandidaat voor de uitbreiding van haar eigen organisatie. In die gevallen wordt de arbeidsovereenkomst aangegaan met onze klant en zo ook de uiteindelijke arbeidsvoorwaarden (rechtstreeks) afgestemd.
