Wat ga je doen?
Currently, for one of our clients, located in Hoofddorp, we are looking for a Senior Naval Architect. In this role, you will deliver engineering output in line with the project’s technical specification, budget and schedule. You may work as part of a team or lead a team of Naval Architects and Designers. You will be responsible for the design and the hydrostatic, hydrodynamic and structural analyses on FPSOs. You report to the Lead or Project Engineer on progress, setbacks and concerns and signal technical risks and anomalies in projects to your Section Head. You reply to queries from Site, Client, Certifying Authority and Subcontractors on time. If necessary, you perform activities abroad or on Site (shipyard).
Functie-eisen
- You have a Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering.
- Over 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the offshore industry as lead engineer or owner’s representative.
- Experience with organising scope and leading a team.
- You have experience with hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, finite element and fatigue analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant international design codes and Class regulations.
- Good understanding of the English language, verbally as well as in writing.
