Wat ga je doen?
As a Senior Cost Estimator, you’ll be at the heart of our client’s tendering process, transforming data into actionable insights and building cost estimates that help our client win projects.
- Lead the development of CAPEX cost estimates for diverse projects in a Team effort, using data from our client’s knowledge base, quotes from suppliers, and cross-functional input.
- Create estimating plans and basis of estimate documents that set the foundation for successful proposals.
- Collaborate with Contracts & Procurement to obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Develop proposal schedules, contribute to cost risk analyses, and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Integrate OPEX estimates from the Operations Support Group to ensure full lifecycle cost coverage.
- Play a strategic role in tender boards and proposal strategy meetings, advising on cost insights and estimate accuracy.
- Continuously improve our client’s estimation tools, identify cost correlations, and update their knowledge base with real-world feedback.
- Innovate their working methods through parametric analysis, benchmarking, and process improvements.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Business Administration or other relevant education
- A strong technical background developed in the oil and gas and/or shipping industry
- Over 5 years of relevant cost estimating experience in the offshore/oil & gas industry
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proven leadership experience and skills
- Solid communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Cleopatra Enterprise and other cost estimating software
- Computer literacy for document processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
- Applicants must hold a valid Netherlands work permit or EU passport.

Voor loondienstverbanden bij Selectum vormt de ABU CAO en de toepassing van de inlenersbeloning (aan de hand van de arbeidsvoorwaarden van de klant) de basis Voor het pakket dat wij je kunnen bieden. Dit pakket is altijd marktconform.
- Wanneer een specifieke opdracht kan worden uitgevoerd door een ZZP-er, spreken wij een tarief af voor het zelfstandig uitvoeren van deze opdracht bij onze opdrachtgever. Hiervoor moet zowel de klant, de opdracht als de ZZP-er aan verschillende voorwaarden voldoen.
- In een aantal gevallen is onze klant op zoek naar een kandidaat voor de uitbreiding van haar eigen organisatie. In die gevallen wordt de arbeidsovereenkomst aangegaan met onze klant en zo ook de uiteindelijke arbeidsvoorwaarden (rechtstreeks) afgestemd.
