In your role as Expeditor you will ensure that the delivery date and delivery conditions of the supply are according Purchase Order. You will keep monitoring the progress of fabrication by the supplier. Most likely, you will assist the Document Control Department to limit any delay during the engineering stage of the supplier. You will be handling all logistic aspects including documents / permits. Obviously, you will have frequently contact with purchasers, QC engineers, project managers and vendors. You will facilitate rush orders, prepare progress reports and identify difficulties and delays. In short, you will monitor the flow of materials, components, tooling and paperwork conform the project schedule.
You recognize yourself in the following qualifications:
• Bachelor (or Masters) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
• 0-6 years of expediting experience;
• Familiar with/Experience with fabrication of (piping) equipment for refineries/petrochemical plants.
• Familiar with shipping documents (packing lists, bills of lading) and customs clearance coordination;
• Good knowledge of the English language (oral and written), Dutch is a pre.
