Wat ga je doen?
As the Contracts Engineer you will be responsible for providing contracting services in the most commercially advantageous and efficient manner in accordance with our client’s Corporate Management System, Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) standards, and Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities
- Ensure project/asset plan is translated into (sub)contracting and market approach, including contract tactics, with a link to procurement/supply chain strategy.
- Oversee and execute the tendering process, including compilation of invitations to tender (ITT) package, bid clarification meetings, bid evaluations, negotiations, and completion of all subcontracts.
- Ensure flow-down of client contract terms and conditions and negotiate best terms and conditions per (sub)contract while collaborating with Legal, Insurance, or Tax departments.
- Organize and present (sub)contractor selections in Tender Board meetings and initiate and perform pre/post contract award reviews and (sub)contract close-outs.
- Create contractual commitments and verify invoices in respective systems related to (sub)contracts and frame agreements.
- Ensure (sub)contractors fulfill their contractual obligations and monitor key performance indicators.
- Organize, lead, or attend contract management or progress/performance review meetings with (sub)contractors/suppliers, and write minutes or reports.
- Act as the focal point for key agreements, where required.
- Identify, issue, and develop (sub)contract variations and amendments.
- Support in dispute prevention, resolution, and claim handling.
- Undertake accurate administration and archiving of (sub)contracts and frame agreements, including contractual correspondence and maintenance of files.
- Support the contract owner in contractual matters towards clients, authorities, and external parties.
Functie-eisen
- A relevant Bachelor or Master degree (technical, commercial or legal).
- 5-8 years of experience as Contracts Engineer in the Oil&Gas / EPC industry.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Effective negotiation and contract interpretation experience.
- A strong pro-active team player with enthusiasm & drive.
- Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.

Voor loondienstverbanden bij Selectum vormt de ABU CAO en de toepassing van de inlenersbeloning (aan de hand van de arbeidsvoorwaarden van de klant) de basis Voor het pakket dat wij je kunnen bieden. Dit pakket is altijd marktconform.
- Wanneer een specifieke opdracht kan worden uitgevoerd door een ZZP-er, spreken wij een tarief af voor het zelfstandig uitvoeren van deze opdracht bij onze opdrachtgever. Hiervoor moet zowel de klant, de opdracht als de ZZP-er aan verschillende voorwaarden voldoen.
- In een aantal gevallen is onze klant op zoek naar een kandidaat voor de uitbreiding van haar eigen organisatie. In die gevallen wordt de arbeidsovereenkomst aangegaan met onze klant en zo ook de uiteindelijke arbeidsvoorwaarden (rechtstreeks) afgestemd.
