Wat ga je doen?
- Report to the Lead Commissioning Engineer and execute commissioning activities offshore.
- Supervise vendor personnel during commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards, company policies, and project specifications.
- Perform loop checks, functional testing, and energization of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Interface with offshore construction teams to resolve execution-related issues.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformities, and punch list items.
- Manage red/blue markups of engineering drawings.
- Maintain accurate records of offshore test results and activities.
- Validate and complete test records and contribute to handover documentation.
- Support integration testing of control systems and field instrumentation.
- Provide daily progress updates and flag deviations to the Lead Commissioning Engineer.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of commissioning processes, instrumentation, electrical systems, and panels — particularly in brownfield modification scopes.
- Follow offshore safety procedures and participate in toolbox talks and permit-to-work processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth offshore execution.
Functie-eisen
- Minimum MBO level 4 education in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or equivalent.
- HBO-level working and thinking capacity.
- Basic knowledge of ICSS systems (ESD, F&G, SCADA, DCS).
- Detailed knowledge of low voltage energy distribution including low voltage switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and electric motors used in process applications.
- Detailed knowledge of instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters; control valves; on/off valves; actuators; switches; and valve positioners.
- Detailed knowledge of fire & gas equipment, including gas, flame, smoke detectors, heat; manual call points.
- Detailed knowledge of instrument signal types (e.g., HART, 4–20mA, 0–10V, 3–15 PSI, Foundation Fieldbus).
- STIPEL-certified in low voltage (2-star).
- Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience in petrochemical brownfield modification scopes.
- Strong understanding of ATEX, IEC standards, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to supervise vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Proficient in commissioning tools, test equipment, and reporting systems.
- Hands-on experience with loop checks, instrument calibration and fault finding.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Prior offshore experience is preferred.

- NOGEPA 0.5A/B or OPITO BOSIET including CA-EBS
- Offshore Medical Certification
- S-Cape Evacuation System
- Offshore Induction and Permit-to-Work Certificates (company-specific online modules)
- PSL Logbook
- Valid Passport (ID card not accepted)

Voor loondienstverbanden bij Selectum vormt de ABU CAO en de toepassing van de inlenersbeloning (aan de hand van de arbeidsvoorwaarden van de klant) de basis Voor het pakket dat wij je kunnen bieden. Dit pakket is altijd marktconform.
- Wanneer een specifieke opdracht kan worden uitgevoerd door een ZZP-er, spreken wij een tarief af voor het zelfstandig uitvoeren van deze opdracht bij onze opdrachtgever. Hiervoor moet zowel de klant, de opdracht als de ZZP-er aan verschillende voorwaarden voldoen.
- In een aantal gevallen is onze klant op zoek naar een kandidaat voor de uitbreiding van haar eigen organisatie. In die gevallen wordt de arbeidsovereenkomst aangegaan met onze klant en zo ook de uiteindelijke arbeidsvoorwaarden (rechtstreeks) afgestemd.
