  • Participate in the development of proposals and estimates for Supplier Quality Surveillance activities Participation in Supplier identification and prequalification as needed to support procurement to finalize successful bidders’ lists.
  • Participation with engineering in criticality assessments against each purchase order package of work Determine the level of surveillance, to be applied against each of the purchase order supply points.
  • Develop for each Supplier enquiry the projects requirements and the level of intervention by the Supplier Quality Inspectors.
  • Develop the Supplier Quality Surveillance Plan to include estimated hours and forecast to complete against each purchase order supply point.
  • Overall management of the effectiveness and efficiency of any subordinate SQS effort.
  • Coordinate and control any internal resources/external agency, i.e. aligning all inspection resources including third parties with Worley’s standards, best practices, instruments and other information as may apply.
  • Establish, implement and coordinate Supplier Quality Management procedures, forms and registers.
  • Engage competent resources to perform reviews, monitoring, and surveillance, attend witness and hold point activities.
  • Manage and maintain data for reporting and trending.
  • Ensure that the surveillance process and the related procedures are approved and remain valid and effective Complete the review of Supplier Data such as supplier quality management plans, procedures, documents, ITPs, welding procedures, operator competencies etc.
  • Consolidate, review and manage all NCR’s issued in participation with the Procurement Manager and Requisitioning Engineer and follow up corrective actions.
  • Ensure adequate component resources are available to respond to inspection notification by Suppliers Facilitate the distribution and notification of NCR’s and inspection reports to key project participants.
  • Ensure inspections / surveillance activities are carried out in accordance with project procedures, plans and methodology.
  • Interface with client and project members regarding supplier quality issues.
  • Coordinate resources to participate in the review of Supplier MDRs and IOMs for compliance to agreed contract deliverable requirements.
  • Providing monthly reports against the Supplier quality KPI’s to the Procurement Manager.
  • Facilitate the expedient closure of the Supplier Quality Surveillance deliverables to support the purchase order close-out.

Key responsibilities:

  • Squad check requisitions and specifications.
  • Read the contract/technical requirements for the inspection requirements required by the client, legislation and standards, (client) related to specification/requisition.
  • Responsible for “Working Hours Estimate” (WHE) of all inspection related work per project/client.
  • Develop an overall inspection planning/inspection & Expediting Matrix based on the identified requisitions/specifications and the associated inspection levels.
  • Organise PIM meetings for the commodities as applicable.
  • Technical Reviews CV’s and external inspectors if suitable for the work assigned.
  • Develop assignment sheets (external) as needed.
  • Approval assignment sheets (external) as needed.
  • Manage the invitations for inspection in accordance with ITP points both internally and to/from client Develop the inspection packages for assigned inspections (if agencies are used) i.e. unpriced PO, Requisition. Supplier ITP, QC doc’s, etc.
  • Monitor the receipt of the vendor documents of suppliers and the internal reviews to have status.
  • Organise inspections with IC department and Mainfreight.
  • Organise inspection visits for either own inspectors or agency inspectors.
  • Manage inspection reports and the actions for any issues noted in the reports.
  • Manage time sheets of external inspectors. i.e. review versus agreements made.
  • Review and approve timesheets, invoices received for inspection services.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence via the “inspection mailbox” as per usage guidelines. Ensure suppliers are using the box and adhere to the protocols.
  • Having an overview of all inspection documents in JPI following logical organisation for proper retrieval, or status via the "PowerBI dashboard".
  • Coordinate and (spot) check off all inspection related documents (reviews) in BlueBeam sessions. Communicate (Technical) with procurement, Lead Engineers and Project managers for daily-weekly operations.
  • Communicate with the engineers for all technical issues from the inspections and actively follow-up to close out punch lists.
  • Generate/Coordinate and approve a Technical overview list for especially Control Valves (Samson/ Neles) per project where needed.
  • Inspection deviations, waivers or releases in consultation with PM and Requisition owners. Hand-over to Procurement.
  • Scrum meetings were required.
  • Monthly progress DCR/PMS on project basis.
  • Monitor all quality related activities on the project.
  • Issue /Archiving of non-conformance reports.
  • Track/Closing all non-conformance reports.
  • The coordination and resolution of any nonconforming product Reviewing vendors QA/QC systems in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Weekly meeting with manager Procurement/contracting relating to the SQS department.
  • Coordinate all Inspection related correspondence with the customers representatives.
  • Global SQS monthly leadership meeting.
