Site HSE Manager Lingen Buitenland

Our client is seeking a German-speaking Site HSE Manager to join their Construction Management team. In this role, you will be part of the HSE department, which includes both home office and field-based HSE staff and contractors, reporting directly to the HSE Manager based in the Netherlands.

As the Site HSE Manager, you will lead the on-site HSE team, comprising both client and contractor professionals, and work closely with the Project Construction Manager to ensure risks are managed in accordance with the project HSE plan and client procedures.

Job requires most of the time to work from a project location in Lingen, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the HSE team of the project site(s)
• Support the CM achieving the agreed HSE outcomes, within agreed project timeline and cost.
• Support project contractors with preparation for low-risk execution.
• Administration and reporting of project HSE plans, leading/lagging indicators, and events.

• Candidate practices HSE from the heart, supports the end result by discussing and motivating lower risk alternatives.
• Demonstrate a pro-active and pragmatic mentality.
• Understands the importance of teamwork.
• Uses network to share and gain ways of solving risk related problems.
• Candidate can work independently.
• Understanding the Engineering process.
• Sufficient computer skills to manage all project HSE requirements.
• Education: HVK or Nebosh International Diploma or Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in HSE
• At least 10 years’ Experience in working with/leading contractors (construction projects).
• Fluency in German and English language is mandatory.
