Shutdown Support Engineer (offshore) Hoofddorp / Offshore Noord-Holland

He/she will assist the Shutdown Manager to create a preliminary integrated schedule in which the critical path shall be identified to indicate the shortest possible time to complete shutdown scope.
Secondary, this role exists to support the efficient execution of campaigned maintenance activities by means of W2W on offshore manned and non-manned platforms, in liaison with planning and maintenance team.

Accountabilities
Shutdown assistance

• The Mechanical engineer shall assist the Shutdown Manager & Integrated planner to create a preliminary schedule in which the critical path shall be identified to indicate the shortest possible time to complete the shutdown scope.
• Support the shutdown manager to ensure that affected scopes are identified within the plan and that they meet the 90-day and 28-day gate criteria’s as applicable. Facilitate detailed gate reviews to ensure adequate preparedness for offshore delivery.
• Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure that all identified materials are onboard the platform.
• Ensure that all enabling scopes e.g. scaffold are correctly identified and planned aligned with overall execution plan.
• Supervise delivery of affected scopes during shutdowns within the field and provide accurate progress reports to offshore and onshore management.
• Ensure that any follow up or further corrective work is properly defined and captured within the work management process.
• Prepare Permit to Work for all planned mechanical work scopes during shutdowns.
• Prepare all flange tightening reports for all scheduled flange breaks during shutdowns.
• Act as the shutdown coordinator during offshore shutdown execution.
• Act as Job Responsible Engineer (JRE) for Shutdown mechanical activities to meet planning and scheduling requirements.
• Input to HSE plan, SIMOPS, scheduling and critical path activities.

Maintenance W2W Project support

• Contribute with establishing a robust campaign W2W plan for preventative and remedial offshore maintenance activities (including fabric maintenance), in line with maintenance policy and plans considering available capacity and budget.
• Agree W2W plans and budgets with Maintenance Superintendent and Shutdown Manager.
• Work with Projects team to include potential engineering scopes that can be carried out within W2W campaign.

• Technical competencies for Maintenance professional, such as Higher Level education in Mechanical Engineering discipline (HBO).
• Experienced with shutdown activities/projects within the E&P business offshore.
• Experience of shutdown planning and execution.
• Experience and knowledge of SAP is desirable.
• Experience of working with Walk to Work campaigns/projects.
• Effective coordination skills.
• First line supervisory skills.
• Certificates to travel offshore (Medical and Survival).
