As a Project Procurement Coordinator:
- You are responsible for providing project procurement services in a sound, ethical, professional, economically advantageous, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- You will be part of the project team and manage all procurement-related issues, including purchasing, expediting, inspection, and logistics, in line with the project requirements.
- You will lead a team of purchaser(s), expeditor(s), and transport and logistics experts.
- After project award, you will prepare a Project Procurement Plan and act as the focal point within the project for all procurement-related matters.
- You will establish project-specific terms & conditions, when required, in conjunction with the Legal Department.
- Throughout the project, you will be responsible for negotiating and securing the best possible agreements with suppliers.
You will also:
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), obtain supplier quotations, and perform technical and commercial bid evaluations in close collaboration with the project team.
- Prepare commercial bid tabulations, organize and chair pre-award/clarification meetings with suppliers, and coordinate tender board meetings to seek approval for purchase order awards.
- Finalize purchase orders for contract award.
- Manage all progress commercial issues with suppliers during manufacturing, ensuring timely delivery to site or client.
- Handle conflicts and default situations with suppliers in close coordination with the Section Head Procurement and Project Manager.
- Coordinate supplier visits to site locations for commissioning, repair, and warranty activities.
- Prepare a purchasing close-out report for all projects and, when required, organize close-out meetings with suppliers.
