About the IT/OT Team
The IT/OT team at our client is dedicated to ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient operations across all terminals by continuously driving optimization, digitalization, and stable, secure IT/OT services.
The team is made up of various teams, divided among IT security, business applications, end-user services, IT infrastructure, and operational technology. The team includes experienced colleagues along with our strategic service partners, who are jointly responsible for managing supplier relationships and fostering excellence in procurement within our terminals, as well as for contributing to our client’s success. The IT/OT team reports to the Head of IT/OT, based in the Netherlands.
About the Position
The Group Operational Technology Manager is expected to lead the alignment and enhancement of our operational technology across multiple sites. The role of the Operational Technology (OT) Manager is a new position encompassing the oversight and management of the operational technology infrastructure within our organization. Operational technology refers to the use of technology in the physical operations of our company, such as industrial control systems, production processes, and critical infrastructure.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and HMI interfaces, to ensure alignment with industry standards and operational
- requirements.
- Lead a team of operational technology professionals across multiple European terminals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive operational technology strategy for all terminals, focusing on improving operational efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor industry trends and developments in operational technology to stay ahead.
- Ensure the continuous maintenance, supervision, and optimization of industrial automation systems, control systems, and IT infrastructure at all terminals.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize system availability.
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies and procedures for OT environments, working closely with the IT department to protect against external and internal threats.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Identify and evaluate risks associated with OT systems.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure operational continuity.
- Ensure that operational technology systems comply with industry regulations, standards, and guidelines across all terminals.
- Maintain documentation and records related to compliance activities, audits, and inspections.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and external auditors during inspections and audits.
- Maintain relationships with OT system suppliers for the procurement of necessary equipment and services. Manage supplier relationships to ensure the effective delivery of products
- and support services.
