This role exists to maintain offshore electrical and instrumentation (E&I) equipment and systems. The role holder plans the maintenance and repair of offshore E&I equipment and systems, supervising offshore Electrical and Instrument Technicians in the performance of their tasks, in line with the overall maintenance objectives, planning, budget and MMS, in order to maximize reliability and availability of the equipment and reduce costs while complying with applicable legislative requirements, existing procedures and standards, including HSEQ.
WORK PROGRAMME / MAINTENANCE PLANNING
Plan, prepare and coordinate maintenance work programmes for planned and unplanned maintenance in liaison with offshore Technicians and Shift Supervisor. Conduct initial risk assessment. Complete work scope documents, material specifications for E&I equipment and permits to work, schedule of vendors and materials, so that the offshore E&I technicians have the relevant information to execute the work safely and efficiently after it has been approved by the Electrical & Instrument Team Leader and the Offshore Installation Manager. Schedule personnel according to capacity, to ensure an efficient time schedule and execution of work.
TROUBLESHOOTING ASSISTANCE
At the Asset Integrity Engineer’s request, perform root cause analysis of E&I equipment failures in co-operation with the offshore E&I and Mechanical Technicians. Make recommendations for Maintenance Team Leaders and Super Intendent, to introduce new improvements, prevent or minimize future failures and reduce costs. Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting and during emergency situations. Contact vendors and give technical advice based on experience, in order to resolve situations quickly and reduce the impact of consequences.
TECHNICAL COACHING
Provide technical coaching on techniques and methods to colleagues and offshore Technicians, based on knowledge and experience in own area of expertise, leading to a high standard of available knowledge within CEU NL. Keep abreast of developments on E&I maintenance techniques and methods and share these within E&I maintenance team.
ADMINISTRATION
Ensure administration of relevant Maintenance findings and activities into the Maintenance Management System, in line with operating procedures and formats, to ensure the availability and accuracy of information during maintenance or modification activities.
HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY
Comply with HSEQ procedures, rules and regulations and contribute to building awareness among other personnel in- and outside the department, in order to maintain and continuously improve a safe and healthy working environment.
COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN (VARIANT)
Digitalize, update and redraw existing drawings as required by modification requests. Reissue them after verification with Maintenance Team Leaders and offshore Technicians and report the Facility Engineer on CAD modifications, in order to guarantee the documentation and availability of up-to-date drawings
