Reporting to the Manager Cost Controlling, the Cost Controller is in charge of the definition, deployment and follow-up of management KPIs for his/her respective area. The cost controller challenges actuals and forecasts for his/her area and steers performance actions in coordination with Business Controllers and other relevant colleagues in the business. He/she is a key input for budget and long-term plan campaigns.
Main Duties:
- Follow-up and analysis of NOV and project costs to management for actuals, budget, forecast.
- Provide business controlling support to (technical) project managers.
- Provide analysis, monitoring and follow-up of time writing where needed.
- Provide analysis, monitoring and follow-up of allocated functional costs (overhead) including understanding of allocation methodology, explain nature and justification of allocations.
- Execute the reporting of financial figures for project costs in coordination with business controllers (including control of spend, planning, forecasting, contingencies…).
- Monitor and/or follow up on costs approval workflow and governance.
- Identify and alert on risks and opportunities regarding operational costs.
- Analyze and give input for quarterly performance review.
