Asset Integrity Engineer Rotterdam Zuid-Holland

The inspection group monitors the integrity and availability of the storage tanks, product lines and pressure equipment at our terminals. As an Asset Integrity Engineer you are responsible for managing the inspections and succession of those inspections so that the company can rely on high quality assets that meet the requirements of our customers and that meet (government) regulations. Work includes development of inspection plans, inspection activities, management of inspection activities outsourced to third parties, assessment of inspection results and giving advice to the asset owners as well as maintaining contacts with authorities and contractors. The job will be carried out on site in collaboration with our construction teams on the terminals. Equipment to be inspected includes all equipment covered by “het Warenwetbesluit Drukapparatuur” (valves, safety valves, vessels, pipes, boilers, pressure tanks, heat exchangers, etc.) and may also include ‘zorgplicht’ equipement and storage tanks.

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in a inspectors position in a related industry.
• Senior level according Schema van aanwijzing en toezicht WBDA :Certified SKK level 3 (IKT 3) or equal.
• Certified EEMUA159 or API653 tank auditor.
• Knowledge and experience with RBI methods, degradation mechanism, coatings, corrosion, NDO, DO, etc.
• Adequate knowledge and application of laws & regulations (such as environmental legislation, PED, EN, API, ASME, DIN, BS, etc.).
• Flexibility to work on different locations.
• Excellent stakeholder management on different levels.
• Proven Safety leadership and service mindedness.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
• Entrepreneurial, energetic personality, self-motivated.
• Focus on continuous improvement and disciplined execution.
• Good interpersonal skills and good communicator, able to communicate effectively, both in Dutch and English in all layers of the organization.
