Structural Engineering is part of the Department and is responsible for the design and engineering of the (steel) offshore structures. These structures are designed using 3D design tools. With finite element and analytical analysis, supported by in-house developed pre- and post-processing tools, the structures are designed for extreme conditions and fatigue life.<\/p> <p><strong>Function<\/strong><br>As Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for autonomously conducting and checking various structural analyses that are essential for creating and validating the designs in line with the project&rsquo;s technical specification, budget and planning. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the tools and methodologies, ensuring they align with the demanding market requirements of the offshore energy industry. &nbsp;<\/p> <p>In this role, you will report directly to the Lead (Project) Engineer, providing regular updates on progress, setbacks and concerns related to the project. You will implement the HSEQ&amp;RC requirements and assist the Lead (Project) Engineer in related meetings. Timely responses to Inter Discipline Checks, site queries, client communications, certifying authority requests, and vendor interactions will be crucial to ensuring smooth project execution. As you gain experience and demonstrate good performance, there is potential for growth into a.o. a specialist or lead engineer role.<\/p><\/div>\n\r\n<h2 class=\"cx_h2 cx2_requirements\">Functie-eisen<\/h2>\n<div class=\"cx2_requirements\"><ul> <li>A bachelor&rsquo;s\/master&rsquo;s degree in civil engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent.<\/li> <li>8+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering within EPC projects<\/li> <li>Ambition to contribute to continuous improvement of the engineering process and tools<\/li> <li>Knowledge of Applied Mechanics and materials<\/li> <li>In depth experience with FE programs, preferably ANSYS<\/li> <li>Experience with analytical calculation\/design methodologies<\/li> <li>Knowledge of Automation and Python is a plus.<\/li> <li>Knowledge of materials.<\/li> <li>Good communication skills.<\/li> <li>English good, verbally as well as in writing.
